Málaga
Málaga: stay in Soho or on the beach?

Our homes in the Málaga area fall into two groups that suit two different trips: apartments in the city, and apartments on the beach at Torremolinos. They are about 12 kilometres apart. Which group is right for you depends less on the season than on what you want your days to look like.
If you want the city: Soho and the old town
Soho is Málaga's arts district, between the port and the Alameda, known for its street art, galleries and small restaurants. Our apartments here are on Calle Martínez Campos, Calle Alemania and the Alameda de Colón, under a kilometre from the cathedral. The old town, the port and the Alameda are on your doorstep, so a day in the city is a walk rather than a journey.

The two apartments we would start with are Soho Art Experience, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms for up to six guests, and Soho Alameda Art District, also two bedrooms and two bathrooms, for up to five, on the Alameda de Colón. Both have an elevator and air conditioning.
If you would rather have a residential street, Studio Málaga Centro on the Alameda de Capuchinos and the three-bedroom Native Quarter sit just north of the historic centre, about one to one and a half kilometres from the cathedral. The old town and its main sights are still reachable on foot.
One thing to plan for in the centre is the car. Most of these apartments rely on paid car parks nearby, and each property page says what applies to that home.
If you want the beach: Torremolinos
Torremolinos is the opposite trip: first-line apartments on the promenade at Playa Mar and in La Roca, with direct access to the beach. Málaga's centre is about 12 kilometres away.

At Playa Mar there are two two-bedroom apartments on the ground floor of a first-line building, each for up to four guests: the New Renovated First Line Beach Apartment and the Cozy Ground-Floor 2BR. Both have parking on the premises.
In La Roca, Sol, Arena y Mar is a studio for up to three guests with a balcony and a view of the sea, a good fit for a couple or a solo traveller. Parking there is paid and off the premises.
Torremolinos is also the closest to the airport. Málaga Airport is about 5 to 9 kilometres from our apartments in a straight line, depending on which one, and Torremolinos is the nearest.
Which one for whom
- A long weekend of food, galleries and walking: Soho.
- A week where the beach is the plan, and you have a car: the Playa Mar apartments, with parking included.
- A couple or a solo traveller who wants the sea from the balcony: the La Roca studio.
- Five to seven people in the city: Centro Histórico Soho has four bedrooms and one bathroom for up to seven guests.
When to go
Málaga works in every month as a city break. The beach apartments in Torremolinos are at their best from late spring into autumn.
Rates and availability change by date, so each property page shows live prices for the dates you choose. All our homes in the area are on our Málaga page.
